SAIL THE SEA - HOW FAR WILL YOU GO?

I'm sitting here thinking about what I could possibly write to go with today's post and came up with a few ideas but the song How Far I'll Go from the Disney movie Moana keeps playing in my head. The little girl in me enjoys a good Disney movie but to tell the truth, I wasn't privy to Moana until my 4-year-old niece made me aware and subsequently fall in love with the movie. She loves Moana and I can definitely see why.

In a nutshell, Moana is a young girl who is chosen to lead her people on their Island but is drawn to the sea and has to choose between staying comfortable in the role assigned to her by her family or following the voice from within that calls her to be what she was created to be.

MILDRED IN ARUBA

A few weeks have passed since my Aruba trip and it's now starting to heat up in NYC! When we got back from Aruba, we were welcomed by hot summer-like weather which made me very happy. It felt as though I had brought the good weather back with me, however, a day later NYC reminded me of who she was. It got chilly again!

Yes folks, my space heater, furry bedroom slippers and coat were in full effect again and I was bummed. Now, a couple weeks later, we're starting to feel the heat and all I can do is think about the sun, sand and all the fun Mildred had getting ice-cream.

LADY IN LACE

Right before heading out on vacation, the boyfriend and I had a little dinner date and it was the perfect opportunity to wear this beautiful lace bell sleeve top.

The night was cool here in NYC, so I paired it with these black lace pants that have been sitting in my closet, unworn for about two years now. Sometimes it takes me a while to wear my pieces but two years was enough! When I got this white lace blouse from Tobi, I knew it was the perfect pairing pice for my pants.

CLASSIC WOMAN - PINAFORES, BOWS & RUFFLES

Oh how I love the Summer! I never want to say goodbye to warm temperatures, tropical prints and frozen drinks but even when I cry into my cocktail glass, the seasons never listen to me!

We're now a month away from Fall and I'm trying to make peace (kinda, sorta) and simply embrace the transition because I really don't have many quarrels with Fall except it indicates #WinterIsComing and that's when my tantrums are amplified.

During the early days of Fall, I enjoy that you can get away with wearing some of your Summer pieces, especially  pants and maxi dresses. Today I'm sharing a transitional look that can be worn on a cool Summer evening or early Fall day.

MAGICAL DRESS!

A couple of months ago, Mom and I were out on the town for a girl's day at the Metropolitan Museum and decided to venture into a few stores to browse around after the museum. Of course, browsing turned into shopping as soon as Mom pointed me in the direction of this piece! I was immediately attracted to the abstract floral-like pattern and bright colors. The piece also reminded me of my sequin flower heels I purchased in the Spring.

Mom and I went straight to the rack and to our surprise this dress was not a dress but a romper instead! Can someone say magical!!!! We were already sold, then we noticed more magic in the form of pockets ! The deal was signed, sealed and delivered on the spot. Well, a card was swiped and a receipt was delivered!
